Hi, I’m Janie—a licensed social worker (LMSW) from a small town in Mississippi. I’ve dedicated my life to helping adolescents and adults feel seen, heard, and empowered—especially those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and everyday life stressors.
It’s easy to brush off anxiety as something that will pass on its own—but it rarely does. Instead, it tends to grow. The more we try to avoid or appease it, the stronger and more intrusive it becomes—like a leech that feeds on fear and refuses to let go. Tackling anxiety isn’t always easy, but with commitment from both of us, we can face it head-on and begin to loosen its grip on your life.
Let’s also talk about trauma and bipolar disorder. Sometimes they’re connected, sometimes they’re not—but they often feed off each other in ways that feel confusing and exhausting. I love working with these challenges because of the incredible transformations I get to witness. It’s powerful to help someone feel validated and understood—but even more so to see them rediscover hope, balance, and a renewed sense of purpose.
I specialize in supporting the LGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse communities, creating a safe and affirming space where you can show up exactly as you are. My approach is strength-based and solution-focused—I believe even the darkest moments can be stepping stones to growth and healing.
You are the expert on your own life. I’m here to walk alongside you—with compassion, curiosity, and respect—through both the turmoil and the triumphs. Together, we’ll work not just toward surviving, but truly thriving.
